As part of the expansion and growth that has developed since its founding, more than 43 years ago, ASSIST CARD dedicated its first headquarters of general and specialized medicine in Spain. This new location reaffirms its international presence and gamble in Europe, adding to the over 400 thousand service providers around the globe, that provide care and solutions to passengers facing any eventuality in over 197 countries.
ASSIST CARD started its activities in Madrid during the year 1986, as an operations center for services to clients of Spain and Portugal. It transformed in 1992 to one of the 14 regional assistance centers strategically placed worldwide to render services to Europe and North Africa. ASSIST CARD ventures this time on the launch of the Medical Center in one of the most important cities of Europe, a region visited by millions of our clients and which the company has focused on for commercial purposes, as well as adding to the existing operations and assistances. The figures confirm, during 2014 we offered assistance to over 30,000 travelers in Europe and 10,000 in Spain specifically.
The inauguration took place during the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, at an event on January 28th, with the presence of leading travel agents around the world, clients and journalists, hosted by Alexia Keglevich – CEO for ASSIST CARD International, Rosa Sacramento – Country Manager of ASSIST CARD Spain and the Medical Center team.
The new structure, located on Calle Jerónimo de la Quintana nº 8, Barrio Chamberí, is in a central area of the city. The facility features over 400 square meters, divided across 3 floors, exclusively to service emergencies, general practice, dentistry, orthopedics, dermatology, gynecology, neurology, psychology, minor surgery, physiotherapy laboratory, X-Rays, and nursing, for which it will have a staff of more than 20 highly trained professionals.
